DACA participated in Chinese American Food of Love Day organized by Ohio Chinese American Association ,  partnered with the Chinese community and Chinese restaurants. Chinese American Food of Love days is launched on May 10 2020 in the country 50 states and 100 cities to provide free meals and donated food to people and organizations in need.

May 5th is Asian Pacific Islander American Heritage Month. It is also the anniversary of the Chinese workers helping to build the United States Pacific Railway 151. Thus it carries great symbolic significance. The more direct reason for the call of the Food of Love Day is that after May , more and more families will face food shortages and shortages; more and more Americans will worry about their family’s future food expenses.

DACA called for the establishment of the local Chinese Pandemic Love Fund to  provide support for this event since it has social influence. The local restaurant that participate in this event is Tokyo Sushi Buffet and Grill . At the same time, this activity will take us Dayton Chinese community public benefits and charity to a new height, to continue to show our solidarity to the attitude of American society, to show love from the Chinese community to the general public and neighborhood friends.

           DACA参与了由美国华人联合会（UCA) 连同各地伙伴组织、华人社团以及中餐馆于2020.5.10开始的，在全国50个州和100多个城市同时推出的“全美华人爱心食物日”（Chinese American Food of Love Day) 活动，为有需要的民众和机构提供免费餐食和捐赠食品。

           5月是美国亚太裔传统月；而5月10号则是华工帮助建成美国太平洋铁路151周年纪念日，活动此时举办有着重大的象征意义。更主要的直接原因是进入5月后，越来越多的家庭将面临食物短缺和不足；越来越多的美国人将为自己家庭的未来食品开销而担心。

           DACA号召本地华人而设立的<防疫爱心基金>支持这个具有社会影响力和能见度的义举，本地区参加活动的中餐馆是Tokyo Grill and Sushi Buffet。同时，此项活动将把我们Dayton华人社区的公益和慈善事业推向一个新高度，继续向美国社会展示我们同舟共济的态度，向广大民众及邻里朋友展现来自华人社区的关爱。

Dear All,

The rapid development of the epidemic in the United States, based on the importance of the health care frontend workers, we and many Chinese individuals donated many batches of masks to medical institutions. This is also reported in local news media. It embodies the responsibility and high morale of our Chinese community, as well as the spirit of benevolence in Chinese culture.
Now we have to take care of the internal needs of our Chinese community. Although most families get masks through various channels , there are still a few Chinese who still have a serious shortage of masks. Therefore, we want to hold a “Mutual Aid Activity for Masks”.  Here are the details.

1. DACA has purchased a batch of high-quality disposable medical masks for this event. Whether you are a DACA member, or a member of the Chinese schools, or Chinese residents in Dayton, if your home masks stock per capita is less than 5, we invited everyone to receive. It’s all free, you only need to write down your Chinese and English name, phone number, address, and email address in a piece of paper and place it into the carton.
2. If you want to donate physical masks, thank you very much! Please also write down your contact information and quantity. We will donate the remaining mask with hand sewn  cloth masks to a local hospital.
3. We are willing to do our best to help you. If you miss the on-site event for some reason, you can contact us immediately or wait for the next event. Please pay attention to the news on our website, or send an email to: daca.dayton@gmail.com.

          在美国疫情迅猛发展阶段，基于医护前线的重要性，为解燃眉之急，我们及许多华人个人向医疗机构捐赠了很多批口罩，相关事迹也被本地媒体报道。体现了我们华人群体的勇于担当和高风亮节，以及中华文化中的仁爱精神。
现在要照顾我们华人社区内部需要，虽然大部分家庭通过各种渠道拿到了口罩，但仍有少数华人还存在口罩严重短缺的情况。因此，我们要举办<实物口罩互助活动>。具体做法:

1、DACA已采购一批高质量的一次性医用口罩供应本次活动。无论你是华人协会DACA会员、还是中文学校成员、还是大Dayton地区华人居民，如果你家中口罩存货人均不足5只，请来领取。全部免费，你只需把写有你中英文姓名、电话、地址、电子邮件地址的纸片投入纸箱即可。
2、如果你有心捐赠实物口罩，非常感谢！也请你把联系方式及数量写下，以便汇总统计。多余的我们将在每周一，连同DACA口罩缝纫组制作的布口罩一起捐给本地医院。
